Although I enjoyed Expectations, I didn't feel any enthusiasm for the plot, even with the guidance of the analysis of the story by LitCharts.
Fortunately this is one of Dickens' shortest novels, so it didn't suffer from the meandering plot lines and boatloads of superfluous characters.
But as always, the ending made up for any shortcomings. Dickens always rewards his protagonists with warm-hearted and tender resolution to their troubles. Expectations was no exception. And for that reason I enjoyed the novel.
