I find about half of the actual test interesting, but unfortunately the other half does nothing but detail battle after battle after battle after siege after battle, with nothing of interest, featuring few notable figures.
Perhaps the Cambridge Companion was more productive for me than the actual text! Anyway, I'm working my through it, the last work in my lengthy study of the ancient Greek historians.
