The Ionia Sanction by Gary Korby

It's not the most hard hitting historical fiction I've ever read, but it's fun, lighthearted, and squarely situated in the middle of one of my favorite contexts, classical Greece.

This volume in the series takes place mostly in Ionia, the west coast of modern day Turkey, so it also made sense to read it now in the run up to our trip there.

If nothing else, the book is serving nicely as a palate cleanse between the weighty Histories by Herodotus and Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War.

I'm sure I'll read more of the series over time, so I must be getting something from it!
