Theogony & Works and Days by Hesiod

I re-read both of these over the weekend as part of my study of ancient Greece and Greek mythology.  Not much to say except that I'm certain I could appreciate and understand them much more thoroughly now than I did the first time I read them perhaps 15-20 years ago.  Knowledge and experience breeds understanding.

And although these probably weren't my favorite reads of all time, each book I read adds a layer of understanding of and appreciation for ancient Greek culture.

Lastly, I'll point out that the vast majority of Hesiod's advice in Works & Days still applies today.  Some things never change.
