A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens

Interestingly, this was the least enjoyable read I've had of Dickens so far.  In retrospect it's not surprising for a couple of reasons.  One, I already knew the basic outline of the story, leaving little room for surprise.  And two, it's such a short book (in fact, it's a novella) that there isn't enough time for the intricate character development for which I love Charles Dickens.

Still, it's obviously a classic.  A classic of classics, which I enjoyed reading during this holiday season.

Now I'm jumping back in sequential order to Oliver Twist, which I began just a few days ago.
